Annual Athletic Silent Auction
Dear Lacrosse Parents and Players,
Planning is well underway for the 5th Annual Chaparral Athletic Silent Auction, to be held at The Wildlife Experience Sat., Nov. 20th.
Last year the Auction was a fun adult evening and big success. We have high hopes for an even bigger success this year, especially with the budget cuts the district has faced.
We ask that each lacrosse family support the auction in some way. Whether it is soliciting an item, a cash donation, donation of supplies, volunteering the night of the event or purchasing and selling tickets, your time and effort is greatly appreciated. The time to collect is NOW! The more items we have to auction, the more money will be made to support our program.
Items that have been successful in the past include:
- Gift certificates to various businesses (restaurants, car washes, gas, grocery stores, etc.)
- Foursomes for golf
- Wine
- Weekend getaways
- Time shares
- Tickets to sporting events, concerts
- Sports Memorabilia
- Ski/Board lift tickets
- Services (dental, massage, financial, etc.)
- Do you have a special talent?
If you’d rather give cash, that always works. Be creative! Remember, 90% of the funds raised will go directly to our lacrosse program. The remaining 10% goes to support the athletic department in general. Donated items are tax deductible. You can go on-line to www.chaplax.com for forms. All items, descriptions/forms are due to Kandy Knepper or Lorie McCaffrey by Oct. 23rd.
